I Didn't Come From Nothing

What do you say to a kid who comes from nothing?

"Do you know what nothing is? Nothing — is a void. Nothing is deep space with no stars. It's not possible for you to exist in nothing. There's no such thing as nothing."

A friend told me to watch this 11 minute video of Pharrell. There I was, sitting in the corner of the Pestle & Mortar store, browsing through my Instagram but still listening to every word Pharrell was saying in this young millionaire interview. It's amazing really, what curiosity does. I am always so curious, so passionate. I want to be able to do so much in life. To be able to build something that you love, to be able to do what you love, I think that's basically what life is about. Sure there is love. Oh sweet love. But life isn't just about finding the right soulmate and settle for a job you may or may not like with a good pay and then grow old and you die and then you rot and no one remembers you. It's funny how I used to think how unfair life was, but it isn't. That's the beauty of it. In life, you create. You make the path, the decision. Sure there are certain ups and downs, but imagine living with no struggle. When there is no struggle, there is no challenge. And when there is no challenge, what do you have left to fight for?
